There are very few carpet cleaning companies that offer a fumigation service combined with the cleaning. Usually you need to arrange for a carpet cleaner to go in first to clean the carpets then someone to go in afterwards to apply the insecticide.
We use a process called hot water extraction ( otherwise known as steam cleaning ) which is the only way to really deep clean your carpets and is the method recommended by the worlds largest carpet manufacturers.
Carpet cleaning and fumigation refers to a carpet being professionally cleaned and a textile safe insecticide applied afterwards and is fast becoming a requirement by more and more letting agents & private landlords if you’ve had a cat or dog in a rental property.
The reason for this is firstly to make sure the carpets are clean and secondly to ensure that no fleas or flea eggs are present. Sometimes flea eggs lay dormant and then hatch at a later date which will cause problems if tenancy has changed hands in the meantime.
Obviously the new tenants don’t want to move into a property with fleas so it’s best to have the treatment done as it can be very problematic after new tenants have moved in.
We are able to clean and fumigate all types of carpet. The property should not be entered for a few hours after the fumigation treatment has taken place. We will give you a receipt afterwards to prove it has been done professionally.
